With Singapore being the 8th and the newest country to host this international event, we hope to introduce a 21st century handbell ringing style and culture to the already established and respected handbell world. We hope to move the art-form forward, making it more connectable to the people of today’s modern society.

About HRSG

The Handbell Ringers of Singapore (HRSG) was established in May 2012, with the vision of the Singapore Handbell Community working together to bring our handbell art-form to the international stage and to develop the standard of handbell ringing in Singapore through networking, collaborations and co-operation. The members of HRSG are made up of active ringers, directors, educators, retailers, enthusiasts and students. Membership is open to any one who has a keen interest in promoting the art of English Handbell Ringing.

Singapore became the 8th and newest member of the International Handbell Committee (IHC) on 30 July 2016, at the 17th International Handbell Symposium in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The HRSG will host the 23rd International Handbell Symposium in 2028.

Welcome to the preliminary website for the International Handbell Symposium 2028 (IHS2028), to be held in Singapore!

This website will be updated as and when we can confirm information, so come along and journey with us as we prepare to host you in our home country.

As it is our first time doing the honours, we ask for your patience and understanding during this time as it is very much a new, albeit enjoyable, learning experience for us.

Meanwhile, do have a fabulous time in Aberdeen, at the 22nd International Handbell Symposium and we look forward to sharing more about Singapore then.
